The Tiffen 86mm 85 Linear Polarizing Filter merges an 85 color-conversion filter with a linear polarizer in a single element. The 85 layer adds a warming effect and lowers color temperature from 5500K to 3400K, so you can shoot tungsten-balanced film in daylight conditions. The linear-polarizer layer filters out light reflected from non-metallic surfaces, reducing glare and reflections, intensifying blue skies, deepening foliage color, and cutting through haze for clearer distant detail.

It uses a fixed, non-rotating mount, which pairs with a matte box, lens hood, or rotating adapter to set the polarizing angle. Linear polarizers are best matched to manual-focus cine and view cameras. As with all Tiffen filters, it is made with ColorCore glass for consistent optical quality.
