Heico NH-5 Non-Hardening Fixer for B&W Film and Paper (5 Gallon)

Heico NH-5 is a professional fixer for black-and-white film and paper, supplied here in an economical 5-gallon size for high-volume darkroom work. Fixing is the step that follows development and stop bath: it removes the undeveloped, light-sensitive silver from the emulsion so the image becomes stable and permanent, and no longer sensitive to light.

This is a non-hardening (hardener-free) formulation supplied as a two-part concentrate. Leaving out the hardener gives you control over the process ? you can add hardener separately only when your workflow calls for it, and unhardened emulsions wash faster and tone more readily, which many fine-art and archival printers prefer.
