Tiffen 86mm Black Pro-Mist 1 Filter
The Tiffen 86mm Black Pro-Mist 1 is a diffusion filter beloved by filmmakers and photographers for its cinematic, slightly dreamy look. It gently pulls down the value of highlights and lowers overall contrast, creating a soft glow and subtle halation, or ?bloom,? around bright light sources. Unlike traditional soft-focus filters, Pro-Mist filters do this with very little loss of fine detail.
The ?Black? formulation lightens the shadows less than a standard Pro-Mist, so your blacks stay richer while you still get that pearlescent glow. Grade 1 delivers a clearly noticeable effect, flattering skin by softening wrinkles and blemishes. The 86mm coarse-thread mount is designed to seat cleanly on compatible lenses.
