The Tiffen 86mm Plum 2 Solid Color Filter lays a warm, pale purple coloration across the entire image and helps to subdue overly yellowish casts. Designed for motion picture and video shooters, it is a subtle-yet-expressive way to shift a scene’s mood in-camera. At the “2” density, the plum tone is clearly present on screen while remaining refined, making it a flexible option that also pairs well with additional filters.

Like the rest of Tiffen’s solid color line, it is made with ColorCore technology, in which the color is laminated between two pieces of optical glass ground flat to a tolerance of one ten-thousandth of an inch for uniform density.
