This Tiffen Pro-Mist filter applies the classic Pro-Mist diffusion look, softening harsh digital sharpness and giving highlights a gentle bloom while keeping the rest of the image clean. Grade 2 sits in the middle of Tiffen’s Pro-Mist strength range, giving a noticeably softer image than the lightest grades without becoming heavily diffused.

It’s built in Tiffen’s Series 9 (S9) format, a round filter size mounted using a Series 9 filter holder and adapter ring rather than a screw-in thread or 4×4 matte box tray, a mounting style common on older and specialty cine lenses.
